At least three people were killed and another was injured as a private car crashed into a roadside tree in Rahmatpur area in Babuganj upazila of Barisal on Tuesday morning.
Identity of the deceased was not known immediately.
A Barisal-bound speeding private car from Dhaka crashed into the tree in the area around 6:30am, leaving two people dead on the spot and severely injuring two others, said Barisal airport police officer in-charge Anwar Hossain.
The injured were rushed to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital where another man succumbed to his injuries.
