Bangladeshi singer Nazmun Munir Nancy was hospitalised on Saturday evening after she reportedly overdosed on sleeping pills at her Netrokona residence.
Primarily she was admitted to Netrokona Sadar Hospital, but later shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital at night as her condition deteriorated.
Doctors say she is out of danger now.
Her family said she tried to commit suicide taking about 60 sleeping pills on Friday and Saturday at her Chhotogara house in Netrokona.
Mymensingh Medical College Hospital doctor Zakir Hossain said, "She took 60 sleeping pills that have already got into the blood stream as those were taken several hours ago. She, however, is out of danger now."
Nancy was awarded National Film Award and Meril-Prothom Alo award.
