Iranian film show begins marking 38th anniv of Islamic Revolution


A five-day Iranian Film Show was inaugurated Saturday in the main auditorium of the National Museum (NM), organised jointly by the museum and the Iranian Cultural Centre in Dhaka and NM to mark the 38th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution that overthrew the Shah regime.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon spoke at the event as chief guest while ambassador of Iran in Bangladesh Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi, eminent film maker Morshedul Islam, and CEO of the Bangladesh Tourism Board Akhtaruz Zaman Kabir were present as special guests.
As a part of the programme, the Iran Cultural Centre also organised a discussion programme titled ‘Cultural Values of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.’

Golhaye Dawoodi
A total of 8 Iranian films are scheduled to be screened over its Bangla-dubbed Iranian film ‘Golhaye Dawoodi’ (Je ful Foteni) was screened on the opening day at the NM’s main auditorium.
Professor of the department of Dawah and Islamic Studies of Islamic University Iqbal Hossain presented the keynote speech while Director General of NM Faizul Latif Chowdhury presided over the programme.
The last film will be screened on February 8.
