Raeed Islam with his parents.
Raeed Islam is a bright boy studying at Merchants' Model Secondary School in Nalchhity of Jhalokathi. But what makes him stand out from others is he never missed a day at his schools in twelve years. Raeed has set an example for the other students in his locality.
Raeed started his school life at Nalchhity Municipal Kindergarten School. He was a regular student there from play group. He attended cent per cent classes since then and is a tenth grader now. He achieved GPA 5 in Primary Terminal Examinations (PTE) and also got a scholarship in talent pool as only student of his school. In 2014 he achieved GPA 5 in Junior School Certificate (JSC) once again.
"I haven't seen anyone like him before, no one could have done this without perseverance and assiduousness," said the Nalchhity Municipal Kindergarten School principal Md Rezaul Islam.
Raeed's parents are also proud of his continuous efforts and good results. "My son never missed a class in last twelve years, be it illness or natural disasters, nothing could stop him from attending his classes," said his father KM Mostak Khan.
Raeed is also pleased with his achievement, "I realised from a very early stage that it was important to attend classes for achieving good results, and I made a promise, as long as I study, I'll never miss any class," said Raeed.
Raeed wants to be an engineer in the future.
